4th Quarter Level-200 VAR & Administrator Training

COURSE INFORMATION

Topics

The training will cover:
- Using 4Q’s patented Core and Business accounting software.
- Invoicing, purchase orders, and inventory.
- Setting up and installing 4th Quarter.
- Configuration and customization of 4th Quarter.
- Administration and maintenance of the data base.
- Sales and Marketing of 4Q and related services.

The training will NOT cover:
- Payroll, job costing, or foreign currency.

The training is intended for VARs, administrators, and other high-level users.

Purpose

The course is designed to :
- Certify IT professionals interested in becoming "4Q Certified VARs".
- Train 4Q clients in the administration of a 4Q system.

Prerequisites

The course assumes that users are familiar with :
- Multi-user data bases and networks (what they are, what they do, how they work).
- Computer business systems.
- Basic accounting (debits and credits, chart of accounts, journals, the general ledger).
- Particpants should read the Administrator’s Manual and the sections in the User's Manual that apply to the Core product prior to the training. These documents can be obtained on-line at :

To download the Level-200 training manual you will need a user name and password. These will be emailed to registered attendees.

Requirements for Completion

- Those interested in qualifying as "4Q Certified VARs" will need to pass a written test in order to be qualified.
- The test covers basic accounting and use of the 4Q Core system.
- This test will be passed out on Saturday and should be returned before the end of the training on Sunday.

Format

- The training is presented in 11 sessions.
- Presentations will be made using a white-board and computer interface displayed on an overhead projector.
- Each user will receive a training manual in hard-copy and electronic form.
- You may use a computer for notes and reviewing the 4Q demo, but computers are not required.
